Welcome to Lunashire is a VR exhibition set in an alternate 1960s, where Lancashire wins the space race and builds a Butlins-style resort on the Moon.
The experience begins in a drab 1950s living room — flickering television, faded wallpaper, nostalgic trinkets — before shifting into a speculative lunar utopia. Guided by a transatlantic narrator, visitors explore a Lancashire-inspired moon colony where jukeboxes fuel the nightlife, Space Vespas zip between moon-pod mansions, and the Ditchburn Moon Department recruits for interstellar careers.
Developed as a standalone immersive installation, I directed and built the project from concept through to delivery, combining VR world-building, narrative design and interactive development.
